Robin Golf
PlayLikeBubbaDaly you keep saying quality clubs but I took a quick peek at the web site and found no info on the quality. If the driver is real ti it’s an ok deal. If the driver is some matrix it’s a rip off. It says the men’s shafts are stiff , don’t know if that’s a good idea for beginners. If the putter is zinc it’s a 24 dollar putter. They need to post basic info on quality.
I was at DSS the other day and looked at a Top Flite set. Woods were crap. Irons were ok. The Best Deal I have seen is the Callaway set from Costco
I certainly wish these guys the best. I personally feel they can’t compete with companies like Sub 70, which I game and really like!
LogicalOne sub70 is well reviewed (and awesome I have swung their 56) but are in a totally different price range. Apples to oranges in my opinion. I paid 620 for this set, out the door with free shipping
This set is $699. Let's see what we could put together from Value. Hireko, DTG, etc. for that.
Par4QC it works on my end! Shows the degree, lie and everything. And the irons and putter are made out of steel and the drivers are made out of proprietary graphite.
azgreg They have a sale currently. But I suppose you could put something together for its normal price. Although that is kind of their business models point. A forum putting together a budget set of varying clubs with a wealth of knowledge is not what normally happens lol. Newbies usually have no idea what to buy and there is A LOT out there.
Go to the Robin Golf website and read peckerwoods. It is a one shot stop for people new to the game. Can you build a set cheaper and better? Probably so.
Subsonic Exactly. They just want shit that looks cool and hits well. And don't want to spend a bunch of time or money on it.
I mean these clubs do have the look going for them at least.
And the stratas are great for a newbie. I totally agree. But I think these are more for guys like me. Who are transitioning out of their first cheap set and want something a bit more competitive but not super expensive.
PlayLikeBubbaDaly Again good luck!
Par4QC I too run lean on my club count. I enjoy walking the courses to which is part of it.
LogicalOne Thanks. I'll be posting pics and such later in the week. And trust me, if I don't like them, they are going back. Haha 620 is still 620 bucks. And with the return policy there's no way I'm keeping them if they aren't up to snuff

The driver is an open model, I suspect the other clubs are too....and I'm not suggesting it's a bad thing either.....if it's a good stick then why not!
