PlayLikeBubbaDaly You mentioned Bomb Tech. Sully actually did it right on this forum (actually the old precursor to this forum,FGI) as the owner he came on here as himself and offered up a couple demos for forum members to try. Sully was a good guy and never pretended to be someone else. His driver got good reviews and some guys bought them. You might try that next time. Just be upfront. Most of us here are eager to see any new equipment and will give it a fair trial.
This thread wasn't about the quality of the equipment but the business model, and just getting into the golf business as a whole, period. Nobody's rooting against your success.
Most forums have sponsors who pay for the right to advertise their products, I don't think we have that here, so post away about Robin Golf. But don't get butthurt if people don't agree. It's a freakin' golf forum after all.

I like the black finish on the irons. Is that durable? Any idea how it holds up? The speed slot on the fairway and hybrid reminds me of the Adam's clubs I play now.

Subsonic Seemed like a bash. And forum or not, people should have some respect and "toughen up" when someone takes a differing stance. Don't jump to immaturity when someone has solid counterpoint or as previously stated in the thread "shares their opinion."
All I know is my brief time in golf has shown me a lot exactly what this company is trying to combat. It is not a super inclusive sport and it is expensive. I take pride in my game and I take pride in being a casual golfer who does not take the game too seriously. I play for fun, to spend quality time with the dudes (not excluding women we just don't have any in our particular, regular group) and get outside. The business model may not be off to a hot start (though I'm pretty sure this was over a year ago and they are now fully online with a tweaked and upgraded lineup) but I love their approach. There is a huge gap in the golfing market. There are so many golfers, like me, who don't want to drop over a grand on a sport we play a few times a month. We just want quality clubs that do the job, for a great price. The entire experience of buying these was smooth. Plus free shipping, financing options (affirm and if you want/need that sort of thing) and a 90 play guarantee. You wouldn't even need a gofundme.
Like I said, if this forum turns away from actually reviewing the company, I won't reply. But if yall are actually curious about the clubs, they should be in Friday and I have a few tee times next weekend. I'll try to post an unbiased, objective review. I will also be playing with my group which consists of a few collegiate guys who are pretty baller so they will weigh in too.
And I'm curious about the matte black finish as well. But the color was too cool to pass up.

garyt1957 Dude I DONT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY haha. I'm not in any position or vested interested or whatever (other than I just bought them). I saw dudes bashing a concept, disagreed with them (enough to make an account on this thing) and bought the clubs after comparing them to Bombtechs. The Bombtechs were great too, but with a full set it was 1300 and their return policy looked iffy. I. Sure they are worth every penny, but again it wasn't what I was looking for.
And I'm sure they are getting demos out, to golfers or companies with a platform and whose opinion would have an impact on their success on a larger scale.

Spuzz Sounded great! And I hope it is true. We will see! If so, I might actually make use of this thing.

PlayLikeBubbaDaly They look like decent clubs. Please post pics and a review.

I said I like the approach. I am all about people having fun. See my post on Park Golf.

This board has plenty of idiots but at least they have a good time when it comes to golf. I could show up to play a round with any of them and break out some Goodwill specials and they would not care. In fact, I bet most of them would give you better clubs if they have them laying around.

Subsonic will do. I will try to post a video too. Its hard to really see from just a photo.

I am hopeful. The one thing I will say is eventually I think they should sell indivual clubs. Which they said in a Forbes article recently that that is the plan eventually. I personally love my 4 iron and it isn't included. But I am going to play the set as it comes as see how it goes!

          Thats good to hear.

Subsonic This board has plenty of idiots

            Take that back!!!

Subsonic I could show up to play a round with any of them and break out some Goodwill specials and they would try to buy them from me.

            Fixed the spelling for ya!

PlayLikeBubbaDaly you keep saying quality clubs but I took a quick peek at the web site and found no info on the quality. If the driver is real ti it’s an ok deal. If the driver is some matrix it’s a rip off. It says the men’s shafts are stiff , don’t know if that’s a good idea for beginners. If the putter is zinc it’s a 24 dollar putter. They need to post basic info on quality.

Tinker If the putter is zinc it’s a 24 dollar putter.

It states it is steel. But, the 'specs' window won't open, so no idea on what shaft, lofts, lies, etc.. Can't be buying blind.

I was at DSS the other day and looked at a Top Flite set. Woods were crap. Irons were ok. The Best Deal I have seen is the Callaway set from Costco

Tinker I've got a set of the irons from that package. Basically are the X hot irons, exact same. I got the irons for something like $40 shipped!

I certainly wish these guys the best. I personally feel they can’t compete with companies like Sub 70, which I game and really like!
