Got these back today from Phoenix - got the refresh from the PING factory.

I always wanted a set of i3's. I like the lines and even the inset color. They look practically brand new again - thanks for bringing the photos.

Steve- those look almost as good as my Ping G15's, of course, mine have never been hit by a real golfer....that's why the center cavities look almost new.

That tumbled finish seems bullet proof.

It seems the clubs end up looking better when they get redone. My I e-1 irons when new had the 2 tone finish that I didn't care for. When I sent them back for the cavity scratches they bead blasted all the heads.

The result was one color finish similiar to the s55 irons...loved them...couldn't have been happier when I got them back.

$17.75 per head and you pay shipping both ways. You can send the heads only or clubs, price is the same. They do nothing to the grooves but in the 3 sets I have had done, the grooves seemed to be refreshed.

Steve, the grooves probably were just cleaned up from the dirt and grind deposit over the years so it looked regrooved.
If it keeps you happy - it's priceless !.

Steve - If you send the club do they remove shaft and return to you or discard the shaft?? Have a set of Eye 2's I want re-done and 2 G-10 Drivers. I'm going to re-shaft the irons, original shafts in them, but I'd like to keep the shafts on Drivers, not original, to re-shaft.

raggmann54 hi Herb, they will probably do whatever you want. Just call their customer service support line and ask. They are very helpful. Their normal practice was to remove the shafts, do the heads and then reinstall the shafts. I have always sent just heads, but that was my preference. I'm pretty sure they will do whatever you want.

LBlack14 I would assume that it is not legally possible to force a teacher to bear arms if they do not wish to do so. I am in favor of allowing those that are legally permitted elsewhere to carry to do so in schools, with an implied level of liability for the person in possession of a weapon to be reasonably responsible in restricting access to that weapon by others and in the personal use of it. I'm curious to see how the case against the officer goes. It struck me as odd, and perhaps even authoritarian, to be able to legally indict someone for not performing their job. But I am ignorant of the law regarding this case and the reasoning behind it's construct.

Thanks for the reply. I will call them in the morning and ask questions. Probably not sending in till after golf season ends in Western Pa. Like what they did to yours...
