Agreed on the concession part and technically Sergio broke the rule no question. But IMO, playing out of turn, missing a 6 inch putt that surely would've been conceded, wrongly picking up a putt that you thought you heard was good, signing an incorrect scorecard, having a ball roll into the water after being placed and the player having not caused the ball to roll being penalized etc., are all rules that technically are correct, but seem inconsequential to the actual competition.
And maybe there's no way around some of these inconsequential rules. I get that, but some seem to be foolish at best.
