scotts33 I think you could become a better ball striker repeatedly using a smaller head MB blade. But like most American golfers get lazy and miss hit a few times and give up. To easy to replace equipment that is balky and give up.
There may be something to this after all. I didn't go with blades, and do have a set to build, but went with the Dynacraft Prophet MB heads. At first I liked the look, then noticed they are a bit smaller than most heads, more of a mid-size in the higher numbers, and get smaller as the numbers get smaller. I've got 7-GW right now and going today to pick up the 5 & 6, maybe even the 4. I've not really tried using many irons, except 8-GW, the past few years thanks to all the hybrids out there, but decided since I've got the time to play a lot, I need to/want to re-learn the iron game. It's coming along fairly quickly, using these clubs. Surprising on most hits as I'm just guessing at distances right now. Scares the bejabbers outta me to pull an iron for a shot at the green, esp. from where I'd normally just yank a hybrid, bust it up somewhere close, or on. But, it's working, and a work in progress. I'm not at the point, yet, of taking all those hybrids out of the bag, but hope to be there in another month; irons are much straighter, even if the right distance isn't always correct.(yet)
