Coffee. When I was a kid and we went out to eat, for dessert I'd get a special request of coffee ice cream with Hershey's chocolate syrup. And if they had chocolate jimmies all the better.
As a matter of fact as a kid (~ 1962) I believe I invented the mixing of ice cream and other ingredients as a stand alone flavor. When I'd go to my grandmothers house I'd have coffee ice cream mixed with Sara Lee chocolate cake and what I called sprills (chocolate jimmies).
I'd let the ice cream melt a little and then start stirring everything together. Once it got to a thick creamy pasty consistency I was good to go. Had I pursued the patent infringement back then I'd be living a life subsidized by residuals and royalties at my palatial Florida estate. 😎
