Unfortunately they don't give 2 shits...it's actually the HR dept that selects the cars. No idea what the criteria is, and neither do they. I've had a couple discussions with them in the past about autos that would be a good choice given what we do on a day to day basis. Completely ignored....sensible choices in the same price range too.
For a while we all had 4 doors pick ups. Fantastic choice for what we do and what we could carry in them vs. having to go out and rent a truck. A big money saver but they couldn't understand why we haul what we haul...HR has never done our job. Anyway, back to the truck. So one year the select truck was a Ford F150, 4x2 with no carpeting, crank Windows and no power locks. Kicker is...the only option they got was an engine block heater. Yeah...wtf right????
I wasn't up for a vehicle that cycle but I knew one of the HR people. I called and I asked him why he would get a 4x2 which is rear wheel drive and be for warmer climate but get an engine block heater which subzero temp areas need. He said to me, Isn't 4x2 4 wheel drive?
