LBlack14 If you want an alternative plan that is less "eat exactly this" and more "eat whatever EXCEPT for this," open up a PM. I can give you a summary of what I've learned over the last few years reading, listening, etc. And even link you to some great resources.
Any diet that kills sugar and reduces grain carbohydrate will be effective for weight loss. The details beyond that are immaterial as long as the patient is within the realm of normal (or even predictable) metabolic function and doesn't test some wild extreme of those parameters (for example - eating nothing but butter.)
So the proposed diet will probably work, but you could likely achieve similar results with less suffering. I don't think it'll work because of those specific foods, rather it'll work because of what those foods are NOT.
