In thinking about all this a bit further , reading a few subsequent accounts and that by the other caddie ( that I posted earlier) it's not appearing that the caddies was in complaint about the actual contractural aggreement between he and Kuch. It seems that he felt that the $1,000 tip/bonus whatever you want to call it that Kuch gave him was disappointing. Sure $1,000 is a lot of money and it represents a 25% tip to the contracted salary he made. Howeve, placing myself in the caddies shoes, a regular , pro caddie would have received $130,000. Kuch ended a 4 year winning drought and whether the caddie was the reason, part of the reason, or no reason, he was on the bag so I can understand why he might have been disappointed to only get $1,000 as a tip. As %age of the earnings Kuch had just won, its light. I have to think most pros would have done more than $1k ( maybe not tight ass Tiger who stiffed Patriotic Navy Seals for a meal ) and Phil probably would have given him $ 130k, hell he gives the towel boy $1k tips, here mr. Micklesin let me help you with that towel.
So , in the end , while I don't like how it all went down and fingers can be pointed in many directions, In retrospect, I think $50k is very fair and that Kuch did the right th8ng......flame away
