I am as skeptical of informercial clubs as anyone. Dennis Paulson is the pro spokesman for this club. Some of you many know, he is on a show on PGA Tour Radio on Sirius/XM. I size him up as a straight shooter, unlike say Hank Haney.
A week or so ago he and his partner were discussing rules bifurcation, equipment and such. He brought up that the GX7 passes the USGA testing, which is at 100 MPH. But he said that for slower swing speeds, it is hotter. He further said that when he and fellow high speed golfers have hit it, they cannot get good smash factors out of it. In other words, they have figured out how to make a face that passes the test, outperforms other conforming clubs at lower speeds, and underperforms at higher speeds. Making it ideal for slower swingers.
If so, that would be something. Thoughts? Anyone hit or played it?
