I really couldn't tell because those p790 heads have such a different feel than the 431 stainless steel Pings. When I've hit the ctaper lite in the Taylormade P770 it's a better comparison and the modus feels better. Feels smoother and more lively.

Couple things...
The same shaft will be different in each head. The G25 head with its weighting will be different than the Apex pro which is forged also. Like I was saying to Kcee, the ctaper lite feels different in the p790 than the p770 when I've hit them.

Have you tried a little lead tape on the p790 to get some head feel?

Outdoor fittings are the best bet. Irons that seem clicky indoors sound too clicky because u are inside. Outside its a whole new ballgame. I'm looking forward to hitting the Ping I500 outside off the grass at out big 3 day demo in April.

Negative on trying to weight the heads. Once I decided to stay with the g25 and forego any re-shaft attempt on the790/Modus, I sold them off. I didn’t want to get into the expense of trying different shafts and I was not certain when the 790 would be updated so I didn’t give them much time before selling them.

I am sure the Modus are fantastic shafts but..... They just didn’t work for me in that head.

No more add ons for this year, or for some time in the near future.
Have to update my wardrobe a bit. Seems I lost some inches around my not so fat now middle.

Two changes for me. The paddle grip is gone from the Never Compromise putter. Going to move into the modern era (about 15 years late) and try a fatty. Was supposed to be yellow. Amazon sent orange - close enough.

Bigger change is swapping out my Cobra BioCell + 3 wd with a Callaway Rogue 4 wd.

These were 1999 version, just before the Maxfli A10 combo set came out.
(that was the combo of the Maxfli Black Dot (smaller) and Red Dot (larger) iron heads.)
I got them on closeout. Last set in all of the Golftown stores here in Ontario.
Mine came with Rifle 6.0 stepless shafts and Winn Excel grips, which was perfect for me at the time.
$400 bucks CDN. Most I ever spent on golf equipment all at once.

Nice looking bunch of Cobras. Only two I have in my bag are an LTD driver and BioCell 3 hybrid. The driver is fitting me nicely, the hybrid I've hit well at the range and hardly ever well on the course for some reason.

Pulled the TT GS75 S200 shafts in the Wishons and will try some Royal Precision/Accra 4.5 gold tinge shafts in them.
Reshafted the Adams 3 wood from Motega to Accuflex FW to match the 5 wood.
Added a 60* Snake Eyes BX wedge that matches the other two I have (thanks @KCee )
