This play happened inside of 2 minutes so a coach wouldn't be able to challenge whether he had all his challenges or none of them.
Challenges are for reversing calls or non-calls on the field. A fumble may have happened that nobody saw and no official ruled it a fumble but a team may think a player did fumble and a play can be changed to a fumble. It's not just for reversing wrong calls, it's for callls that aren't made that should've been, too. IE: The Nickell Robey-Coleman was ruled not be be pass interference, helmet to helmet nor a hit to a defenseless receiver in the neck or head area. In the future, hopefully, the replay official will stop the game and would give the ball to the Saints at the 5 yard line 1st and goal.
Sneaky...I'm glad you can move on from this. That's the reason these things continue happening. What you allow will continue. When people no longer accept things like this they will stop. I don't accept it. I wouldn't want this same scenario playing out for any team I follow in any sport. Heck, it could be my kids... I don't want unfairness when there's no reason for there to be. We're not talking about something controversial that could've gone either way. We're talking about an egregious error that feels intentional and may have been.
The Super Bowl is not legit. You can believe it is because what do you care? Your team is there and likely to whip the piss out this team that knows it doesn't belong.
I've given multiple solutions to prevent this from happening in the future. As for now, the NFL is still hiding. It needs to and will have to say something soon. They're in a tough spot. You think they're going to cast aspersions on their biggest showcase? No. Fans of true sport know this is illegitmate in every single way. I don't care about this game one bit. It's worse than a meaningless bowl game to me now although I honestly hope your Pats destroy the Rams.
Just because time has passed doesn't mean it's any less legit. It will ALWAYS be illegitimate no matter how many days, years, decades pass by. Will never change.
