Its a regrouping jig. Face it placed against the part on the right and the other two parts hold the shaft. I think it can only be used for right handed clubs, a reversed one was made for left handed clubs.

5 and 6 are missing since they are assembled into test clubs. One fst and one graphite. Did not care for graphite. Going sreel 115 fst. 36.75 inches.

Excellent choice, sir. I have had the FST 115 in my Sterlings since new. Get the tips trimmed for the head weight (8 iron in mine) and you are good to go. I do play mine at 38.5" though, which is MY normal 8 iron length. 😛

How much you tip them? I got the s/x flex and tipping them 3 inches. I am debating going with 36.5 instead of 36.75.

I am 6"2" but just got used to everything 2" over "standard" years ago and that is what is cumfy for me. I use the trim chart from VG's website and I use the Sr/R flex. For me tip trimming at the chart recommended 8 iron Senior flex is perfect for me and I have use them in a bunch of different sets.

If you use air for gripping trim them longer at first. You can always choke up a bit or retrim them later.

candukid That's a pretty negligible difference, but I'd recommend going a hair longer as it's a lot easier to go shorter later vs longer, and it doesn't hurt to have a little length to let out in a ball-beneath-your-feet situation.
