Those of you that own the TILLe and built your own, what shafts are you using? I want to see what the most popular shafts are being used for this wedge by y’all.

I haven't hit mine yet but I am using my favorite steel shaft I use in all of my irons, FST 115. I am tip trimming them 1" shorter than my other wedges due to the heavier weight.

Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue Axis, A flex. It matches pretty well with the Alta CB graphite in my PING G400 irons.

cpanther1995 Going to give graphite in a wedge another try. I have an XCALIBER Spin 95 that I’m going to use. If I’m not happy with it, I’ll probably go to an FST 115.

I loved the Aldila NV Pro in a set, great feel. In the long run if I don’t like graphite in wedges after a while I’ll use Rifle Spinners.

I'm gonna give them a try. I'll use some rifle spinners that I've pulled from another set.

It'll be May or June til I can get back about them, but hope to hear more from the sunniest boys in the meantime.

The righty heads I ordered are probably going to get some FST wedge shafts. My lefty Tille, well, that's yet to be determined. I'd like to put some kind of graphite in it. I had Excaliber TourX wands in my previous set of irons, and might pull them and put them in my current gamers. I'd like to put a graphite stick in my Tille since I've had elbow / tendon issues in the past. We'll see...

Closed cell backer rod or prosoft inserts take the sting out ( I have them in my spinners in my Alpha wedges), but there is something magical about quality graphite shafts in wedges. Like the NV Pros OMG uses, they make me want to have a full set of irons with graphite shafts😃

For me it does take the sting out but also the feel. I have tried graphites in my irons over the years and have not yet found any I like. I have not ventured into the higher cost/heavier shafts though. I don't understand why there are so many graphite shafts that feel wonderful in a driver but not in an iron? Given the head weight of the Tille at 310ish would this be a good head to test some shafts in or would an 8 or 7 iron be a better test?

Rickochet If you do decide to go with a heavier graphite, I recommend the Recoils. I've been happy with my Recoil 110 irons shafts. Always had some minor issues with my wrist and elbows until I went all graphite. I still think steel is a bit more consistent, but the Recoils are the closest I've found. Axe had a heavier graphite I liked too, but they discontinued it and I haven't tried their latest.

KCee I still think steel is a bit more consistent,

Yep. If not more pros would be playing them. I have the Recoils on my maybe list. I might try to snag one to demo.
