I must confess, in the past, I was not much a fan for the NXT golf ball from the Titleist .
Tried them and it was okay, not overly impressed nor disappointed but the price point steered my attention to other brands over the years.
Early this year I had received a sleeve of "TEST" golf balls from the Titleist. In the past I had received prototype of the ProV1 and ProV1x. but this time from examine the dimple pattern I had suspected it'll be the NXT line.
The test was great, I actually liked the test sample. It's soft and long, not ballooning with driver, half a club longer with all the irons. Spine well into the green with full shots and fell off the putter is lively not jump off with "extra putting yardage". I gave a review as usual. This time was favorable.
Received a brand new sleeve of Titleist NXT Tour in the mail last week, with a note confirming my suspicion the test sample was the NXT line. The 2016 model has a even softer core for the trendy mass attack of the low compression golf balls in recent years.
The new cover was impressive;y gripping and more durable than a single layer of urethyn, and the price line at our local discount golf shop is around $30 per dozen.
This is a nice golf ball and I favor it over the Callaway Chrome Soft
