Which geek head (in your opinion) is the most forgiving? Or are they all about the same?

colej I've played all of them, except the LB 130. I've not noticed any 'bad' shots, even from toe or heel. If there has been any loss of yardage, it has been minimal. Heel shots are naturally worse than toe though, with the lower fade it will put on the ball. Only diff I find in any of the heads is ball flight....NB is a bit lower than the DCT, using same shaft.

I’ve got the NB and was just wondering if there was anything maybe just a bit more forgiving. So maybe the DCT?

I agree, but again the ball flight depends on the loft of your NB. Both are very good and IMO forgiving.

I found the the DCT a bit more forgiving but the NB was a bit longer - probably due to the lower spinning head. Both are great heads - makes me wanna take out my geek NB or "orange crush" as a buddy calls it.

I like them all. The one built to be THE most forgiving IMO is the Fail Safe 3. I remember Steve saying the original FS was built with the average golfer in mind but still suitable for LD. Yes it has been used in LD, Jamie S won the Jr World LD with the original FS. #3 is the highly refined version.

The No Brainer and the DCT were both designed with LD in mind. However if you get the right loft and shaft either one can become the longest drive you’ve ever had. Which one is more forgiving? You may not agree with me but I feel the NB has an edge over the DCT. That’s me. Many long drivers will disagree. It’s hard to really beat that head. It’s the Championship Head! It’s the component equal to Rocky Balboa. Ok maybe that over the top 😄

Geek headcovers are in, but their cost went up. I’ll need to slightly increase the special sale price to cover this. Generic headcovers or no headcover with your order will save you a little.

I love the DCT, but IMO the No Brainer is the best Almo Designd driver head.ive told Steve this many times.

The wild thing I’m discovering about Geek is while we in the component community are very familiar with Geek, a lot of people are just now discovering it.

To talk to someone for example that just discovered the FS3, a head both Almo and Derek considered retiring, is really awesome and to see how it sold out last year is too. Same with the LB130. That one was thought to be played out and all of the sudden boom! Sellout!

Can you tell me about the SoooLong 175 heads? Are there offset and non-offset? Are there high COR and regular COR? Finally, are they still being made, or are you selling out the last of them? Thanks!

DonM Yesterday, I noticed the 168 gr. heads(white) on Amazon. Cannot recall if they were from Proseries or not.

I don’t promote a lot of the Integra stuff, which honestly I should. Been promoting mostly Geek. It’s always been available to me.

What are you guys looking for in a fairway wood, or a fw/hybrid combination?

Derek is getting ready to order more Geek 5 Woods, but 3 and 7s are well stocked.

Are you guys using all hybrids, or 1 fw and 3 hybrids etc. Not asking about single length just traditional for now.

cpanther1995 jmo, but most all hybrid heads are way too big, even the Cobras. For those of us that cannot hit irons well, we need something that is able to get the ball out of deep/lush rough. Something the size of Taylormade's mid GAPR head. But, not at that price.😒 The Acer XV hybrids are a nice size also, but still could be 'just that much' smaller, front-back. Deep faced hybrids are not the answer either, even though I have 2 enroute now. I don't get to play off fairways that are low cut like the pro circuit, so square faced/deep faced hybrids(Adams ruined it) don't work well for me.

I was thinking low profile would be best too. The Geek FW Woods are not low profile, but not deep faced. I really like the design, but I personally believe that it’s time for a change.

I did artwork for a proposed Geek Hybrid 21/2 years ago. It was put on hold.

I have another idea I plan on pitching. Ordering just enough 5s to promote with the existing Geek fws, and for Geek to come out with a new 4 wood and hybrids, with the 4 being the only wood in the set. If the 4 and the hybrids sell well, discontinue the existing fws.

How does that sound?

cpanther1995 Well, most people say they cannot hit 3 wd. off the turf, so I'd think a 4 would be great. It would eliminate a club in my bag, for sure. If it was a 17* head.
Just don't do elongated rectangle faces on the hybrids. Everyone is doing it(maybe for good reason).
I've had all the Geek fw heads....much too 'blocky' looking imo.

And lose the rails!

colej Nice heads, decent pricing, deep faces imo. (but that is a perception brought on by head design, which I just found out from checking several brands of hybrid faces; 32mm -35mm)
