I walked about a quarter mile to the bus stop, rain, sun, snow, whatever.
It was kind of a thing in my neck of the woods to see who could go farthest into the late fall or early winter without donning a coat. When the temps were in the mid-20's I went to the bus stop without a coat and stood there and waited, pretending like I wasn't freezing.
I remember one year opening up the door without a coat on, feeling ridiculously cold temps, thinking to myself "screw it, I'll just lose" and putting on a coat. Everybody put a coat on that day. Turned out it was 10 below zero. So, no winners that year, lol.
