I’m trying to get used to it. Texas is full of old guys out playing golf all summer long. Last Sunday was real hot and humid. I got hamstring cramps on the 14th hole but I finished the round. We were done by 12:15, it wasn’t even full heat yet. The rest of the day I was trashed. I thought I drank enough water and electrolytes but I probably didn’t. Supposedly you can build a tolerance. I’m working on it.

Need to keep a jar of pickle juice on you. Look it up, triathletes will sip on it, while on the bikes when they start cramping up. Just a ounce or two will help when you cramp.

We have 3, literally. Nobody says shit. I told them for 2 months, I was going to Ohio State with Pay this Saturday so I couldn't work 3 hrs for member guest, you'd think it was the end of the world. Only because they know I'll be there at 5am.

It's been fabulous here all week. A few cool rainy days and now sunny low 80s with low humidity. Almost late September weather!

Dang. Just looked at the forecast to see when it might rain again (no more than 15% predicted over the next 10 days) and see that the predicted high temps. for next Tuesday and Wednesday are 99 and 98 degrees!

johnnydoom Rain coming here again this weekend. And temps in lower 90s at the start of next week. The world is outta whack, fo sho.
Had to throw a blanket on the bed this week. Nighttime temps got down to 50 a few nights.

SoCal finally made it through our 3 weeks of summer. Whew, that was rough. We actually had to turn on the AC during the day once.

Sparky Had to imagine, unless you had walked into my house, but I only ran the A/C a total of 7-8 days (not any nights!) this year. This has been the 1st week house temps have been under 82 since Spring(even with A/C going)!! I've been about $30 under utility budget every month, so far.

Only been running mine for about 130 consecutive days so far. I at least get a break in the winter. My heater probably only runs a total of 10 days a year.😁

Pretty much perfect here today. Maybe 70 and hardly any humidity. I was wishing I would have taken the day off, but I probably would have ruined it with golf

Mattyv Like it, moving here. Either upon retirement or sooner if the Pentagon continues to telecommute. But that doesn't look good, recently Pentagon ended all COVID restrictions. My youngest son lives here.
