Interestingly Tampa FL. has never reached 100 degrees since they've been keeping records from the late 19th century. In August of 2002 the day when the moving truck left Haverhill MA. with out stuff for Florida the temperature was 106 degrees in Haverhill.
Because Tampa is surrounded by water the humidity is high and developing thunderstorms in the afternoon help keep the temperature down below 100. We're ~ low 90's for four months straight (June-September) with high humidity though. 😓
