Just got home we only played 6 holes it was 89* when we teed off and when we quit it was 96. We were behind a foursome that played like a sixsome and we just got too hot. Our course is almost treeless so no shade on each hole. We played though 5-1 and bogied the 6th. My wire ran out of gas and stopped playing so it did not make sense to keep playing at a 4 1/2 hour pace being a single. 111 today.

We are visiting north Texas this week. Today was low 80s. Humid though. But not bad overall.

Western NY played 9holes with 93* and 60% humidity, miserably hot & everyone chose the patio & beers over the back 9. If it wasn't for an 8-10mph breeze I wouldn't have considered playing today, this is the only weather where I choose riding over walking.

Yesterday was 99 degrees and humid. It did feel hot. But as bad as that was, I’d prefer it to being behind my snowblower with the -10 wind chill snow blowing back pelting me in the side of the face.

Today is 97... but I’m just staying in until work... just depressed after the washing machine died

98 today in VA. We finished our 18 at 1130 and we were toasted, roasted, and sun-dried.

It has been pretty mild for Southern Oklahoma so far. I think 95 has been the highest, and the last several days have been in the mid to low 80's. Today was a high of 86, but the humidity was off the charts and made it feel so much hotter when out in the sun. I'm sure we will have some triple digit days in the near future.

Can't imagine playing 63 holes at any age, with a cart and if 4 strippers carried me to each green. Just couldn't keep my interest up for 63 holes.

I started playing at age 12 and a friend and I walked 54 holes every week day it wasn't raining then played two more holes to get us to the bus stop.

Except for San Diego and Hawaii there's really no perfect weather areas. The south and desert gets too hot in the summer and the midwest and north are too cold in the winter. Snowbirding is the way to go if you're retired and can afford it.

Wednesday we set a record high for high temp for the date... 100 degrees
Saturday we are setting a record high for low temp for the date... 61 degrees

This state sucks.

I’m finding in our extended visit to north Texas that I much prefer 90s and humid to 110 and desert dry. Just better all around for me. YMMV. I do realize that it will be a few degrees hotter over the next few weeks.
