Highest temperature I've ever personally seen was 130° @ 1800. Bullhead city, Arizona. Went to visit my grandparents for a few days.

I haven't experienced Arizona heat, but I'm one that will take extreme heat over extreme cold any day. The heat here in MS usually caps out in the high 90's and low 100's, but it is most definitely not a dry heat. Like Mattyv says:
