No, I get it but even here in Mi when damn near everything was closed down people were having huge parties, not wearing masks in stores, etc. If people won't cooperate not much the govt can do. Most things are open now, but I still avoid them, it's up to us .

Yeah, DeSantis is a Trump disciple and despite him opening everything up like it's back to normal most people wear their masks etc.. We've been playing golf thru the pandemic because with golf you can socially distance easily.

Up until recently we could take individual carts which was nice and the pace of play was fantastic.
Now you have to pay a fee if you want a cart by yourself. The weather is starting to moderate, but we go our early anyway.

Hi Steve,

I've been arguing with Trumpsist on a politics forum trying to save our democracy. Having a ball. lol Yeah, DeSantis is a mini me Trump. He's mishandled the pandemic here terribly.

Taking individual carts was great. We could go around in less than 3 hours at times. They're starting to over seed here so winter golf should be nice. We get something called the Paradise Card which is a discount card.

So we have four of us that travel around and play different courses. We dropped our membership to our home course. We still play there quite a bit though. I don't miss walking in the summer.

You’re seeing it through your particular filter. Illinois did it in a way you’d probably approve of, and our long run numbers are no better than Florida. It’s super bad that politics has poisoned our ability to consider other views (supported by data and science) on this. The science is not settled, not by a long shot.

I'll just say this. I'll believe Dr. Fauci and the medical experts over Trump any day. Trump is a pathological liar. Trump knew this was going to be bad (Woodward tapes) and lied about for his own political gain.

Wearing masks should've never been made political. It's a public health issue and not a culture war issue. Trump has been a disaster and punted it to the states instead of having a coordinated national response. Total failure.

His new herd immunity strategy is nuts. Take a look at Sweden.
But what did we expect electing an ignorant, self absorbed sociopath. Hopefully this nightmare will soon be over.

Biden at least will know that Finland is not part of Russia, that Great Britain has nukes and what a filibuster is. This experiment of having a raving lunatic crazy uncle type as president was a huge mistake.
