Tiger falls into the camp of black athletes (yes Tiger is black) like OJ Simpson and Michael Jordan. This group puts their marketing image first and (they) don't want to do anything that may hurt their marketing ($$$$$) potential.
On the other hand there's a long list of black athletes willing to risk their marketing image (dollars) in order to express their political opinions against racism and bigotry. This group would include Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Tommy Smith, John Carlos, Lebron James, Colin Kaepernick along with many others (past and present).
However, just because Tiger doesn't renounce the racist idiot in the white house, doesn't mean he's on board the Trump train to Stupid-ville. It just means he's putting his own self economic interest ahead of his political views.
He's not the first to do this and won't be the last. My admiration lies with the black athletes who call out racial injustice at the risk of their own self economic interest.
Tiger would not be one of these courageous black athletes.
