I forgot to add... I have the Uber app, which worked great this past spring while I was down in Georgia for my daughter's graduation.
It was rather seamless and easy to get a ride, as anytime I pulled it up I could see the Uber drivers available in the vicinity. Although I don't use it but maybe a couple times per year - it's a nice feature for those looking for a ride from a bar or hotel/event and either don't have transportation or don't want to risk a DUI.
The days of spending 20 bucks for a taxi cab ride across town are pretty much over. Not good for the taxi cab industry, but very good for the consumer. And usually there's no need to wait 30 minutes for the ride to show up... every time I've used the app - an Uber driver was there to pick me up within 5 minutes.
