Maltby TS2 Forged iron....w/pics

Couldn't resist....I had to try one of these new TS2 irons - a 7 iron specifically.
I've always liked their designs and this new hollow body (think P790 or i500)
was calling me. I've hooked it up with a Recoil 760F3 and will give it a go
tomorrow if the rain holds off. I'll be able to directly compare it to a
Callaway CF16 7i with the same shaft. More later, pics below.

Nice! I have my eye on those and considering building a set this winter.

Well K... you will be pleased with the set. I hit about 15 balls today with it and
it has a very nice, forged feel. The trajectory and distance is very similar to
my Cally CF16's. Quality finish to the head also. Those 15 balls left only a tiny
few dots on the face. If I didn't already have the CF16's, I'd be all over this iron.

I'll probably try the new TS1 also when it is available soon. If anyone wants to
try this Maltby TS2 clubhead, shoot me a PM or email and I'll save you $$$.

This will be a very popular component build.

The TS1 looks really good to my eye. If that was available in black, oh baby......still considering building a set of PTM Black.

Eguller I already have a combo set of Apex Pro and CF16 irons, but winter is long and boring here in New England. Plus I got rid of a ton of stuff and would like to have a 2nd set. Maybe a TS1/TS2 combo would be nice. These sound promising, thanks for the review!

True, true.... I have a set of DBM black Maltby and they are sweet. Currently, my
back up set.

I am guessing that, eventually, there will be a black TS1 (if they sell well).

Winter is too long in PA too.... Keep in mind that the TS1 lofts are 2* higher than the TS2
when putting together a combo set. The TS2 is the forged distance club line the G700 PING
but feels so much more solid - well it is forged. lol
