Id prefer a thinner topline, but I do like them better than the TS2. The PTM are still my favorite forged model from GW, but they are NOT filled with magic poon foam!

True Forged using a 5 step forging process, which is unique, unlike the PTM and MMB-17 which are form forged. Even the similarly designed TaylorMade P790 has a cast body with only a forged face.

No doubt they are quality heads.......and tempting. I might build up a demo 8 iron, but I need to find a senior flex graphite shaft (that won't cost $50) that I like as much as the AltaCB in my G400 irons.

Both the TS1 and TS2 look good to me....well technologically speaking as Maltby irons are never very pretty. I've always like their irons and may build a set of those this coming winter.

I built a 7 and 9 iron with FST 115 and played 2 rounds with them. Very easy to hit straight, felt and sounded great. Chipping around the greens was orgasmic with the sole design. I was unable to launch them high like a shovel, so I'm assuming it was swing speed. Beautiful clubs, BTW.

I tried both and found the TS-2 easier to elevate with graphite shafts. Overall, I liked the feel
and flight better on the TS2. YMMV.

I've been playing a set for a little over 3 months now (14 rounds). They are right on the edge of taking over my "favorite all-time iron head" spot away from with Wishon 550c. I cannot find anything on the TS1 that I don't like.

scotts33 I paid under $400 for 4-GW w/TT Elevate Tour shafts. Only the 6 and PW have been hit, the rest are wrapped in plastic.

I picked mine up used (barely). Pulled the shafts and sold them, and installed some graphite pullouts I have here. So I am in for about $150 for my set.

But I still have an itch to get a TS-1 / Recoil Pak from golfworks built to my specs for $509. That is just a silly good deal.

Sparky paks a good deal IF the shaft offering fits AND you want a full set. There shaft offerings for irons are pretty good, but full sets c'mon now. Who hits a 3 or 4i anymore?

My 4 iron is my best club! I've got my on that 3 iron.

Last time I played, there is a tough downhill 210 yard par 3. I took out the 4i, launched it high, it faded in and stuck 5 feet from the pin. Odyssey Exo putter then finished it off by only missing by a foot left.

I haven't met a FGI/GBuzzer that has paid MSRP for any equipment at any time. Far be it from me to cast stones either. My statement was said in jest but it's not $12 bucks either. lol 😉
