DC300

I used JB weld to make a hat rack out some club heads - mounted them to a nice pine board with it. That shit is serious.......

sdandrea1 no doubt about that, I have used it for countless things, but anything I want to ever get apart won't be one of them.

32 years ago, the factory epoxy failed on the 4 iron of Wilson tour Fluid feel, Head flew off while I was hitting on the driving range. It must have went 45-50 yards out. They had to stop the motion on the whole range for me to retrieve the head.

Glued it back with the 2 part epoxy from Home Depot and it stayed together through the years. Not sure if it will come apart easy, had never tried to disassemble it , yet.

I've put a couple woods together with good ol' JB Weld. It was a daunting task to take them apart, that's for sure. Completely FUBAR'd the shaft through.

Gorilla Glue epoxy is actually really good. Good strength (3,000 psi) and lower heat threshold too.

A schoolmate assembled an 8' plywood pram kit with Elmer's white wood glue. Maiden voyage it fell apart!
Some use the same "glue" for thei clubs!

I always recommend this test. Put some 24hr shafting epoxy on a paper plate with some store epoxy next to it and let them dry over night. Next day pic up the plate and bend both glue samples. The shafting epoxy will bend and the store epoxy will snap. Shafting epoxy is designed to have some flexibility for shock absorption.

I have used store epoxy on clubs twice because I was in a hurry. One was a putter head and one was a steel shaft extension. My bag fell over on the cart path. The putter head hit the pavement and came off. The extension was in a fairway wood. During the round I felt the upper inch wiggling. The extension came loose. And I could not get it back out of the grip and had to toss it.

A small set of shafting epoxy is not that expensive and goes a long way.

I have been using Devcon 5-minute epoxy gel forever, it sets in 5 minutes and cures in 30...it has a 2500lb shear strength. You have to be a little quick, you only have a couple of minutes to mess with it. If I am doing a set of clubs for someone that wants it done quick I do two clubs at a time. I have never had a failure with this epoxy...just be sure you get the "gel" and not just the 5-minute epoxy...Lowes carries it.
Hey, any of you still using rubber cement to install grips???

Nike Shoxx or whatever they're called. I got these in 2006, well worn. That black part of those soles are held on with that "shit". You ain't shittin'!! I still won't use it for a club.
