We abide by almost all of the Rules of Golf, but the number of clubs limitation is absolutely shunned with extreme prejudice! Desert clubs are common, and moeman once carried 4 different drivers all week - to match his mood or desired ball flight for the hole.
There is also a common local rule in Phoenix called the 'Desert Rule', in that you have the option of playing the desert as a lateral hazard if you do not want to, or cannot, hit the ball out of it. And also, if you're afraid of saber-toothed rabbits.
