PA-PLAYA At least it's a whole number.
Which is my argument. Don't mind nickels, dimes, quarters.
Just don't think pennies are no longer needed or appreciated. Let's round everything up (with tax included) to cover a whole number. So instead of paying $11.69 for a pizza, make it $11.70. Or $2.999 for a gallon of gas, make it 3 bucks.
This ain't that hard.
I agree. Have the marketers on board and offer items for $10.00 not $9.99. What complicates this issue is state sales tax. It may be hard for stores to figure in sales tax included on a purchase price on thousands of items.
I still bitch about people in front of me at convenience stores buying a $1.39 drink using plastic then hold up the line because they can't remember their PIN, but I do find myself using plastic more now that my card holder gives me a cash back option on bonus points instead of those over priced reward items.
