...and I thought that our course had problems with deer walking across our greens and Canadian honker geese hanging out (and decorating) a tee box.

Ringoblack Yes, I agree. We are lucky enough that they (so far) have avoided our greens.
We don't have a lot of geese that hang out around our course or I'm sure they would be on our greens also and we are also lucky that they seem to like only one tee box so far too.

Those free-range piggy looked very fit and yummy.
We don;t have those but deer and elk are common, there is a large herd of elk ( 80+ ) hung around one golf course, damaging greens and bunkers, they had to build 8' tall heavy duty chain link fence on several holes ( constant maintenance required, some bulls are very large and easily cause damage).

Back in the 80s I played a golf course north west of here that had one green and the following fairway plagued with ducks and geese. They were beside a large pond. Nice course, but those two holes were terrible. They even tried dogs to chase them away, but it didn't work.

My home course has at least 4 sets of new baby goslings. Damn trash birds.

God doesn't make "trash" animals. Only humans could come up with that notion.

An inflatable rubber Alligator attached to a floating mount secured with a weight will keep the Geese away as long as you make sure the Alligator is always inflated, even in Northern climates.

As to the Goslings, put in enough large Snapping Turtles and your problems will be solved just after every Spring.

FauxAmish they've tried the fake gator thing and for some reason, it doesn't seem to work. I specifically asked because I remember how well it seemed to work in the Birmingham area.

Drop an anaconda or two in the pond and the pigs and geese will be soon gone.

South Florida already has issues with invasive species, I doubt Anacondas would fly.

Uhh ... Attended a concert in 1971 in New Baltimore Ohio just off I-75 where the Headliner was Alice Cooper.

He had a couple of Snakes. Didn't check their, the Snakes, lineage but perhaps there is some merit to this statement.

But ... Heh ... memories are short and infrequent when Chocolate Mesquite enters ones physique.
