fatshot
Since my last post on this thread I have received the Kirkland golf balls. Took them out today and gave them a try. For the first 4-5 holes, I was pathetic! Four bogeys and a double. I was hitting the ball OK, but my shots around and on the greens were the problem. After the fifth hole, I told my partner, "I'm switching golf balls!" I dug out my usual Titleist Truesofts out of the bag, and played them the rest of the way around.....played the last 11 holes 3 over par,
including a 20 footer for a birdie on the tenth!
I doubt that the problem was the golf balls....probably just needed to loosen up and get into the round. But I did notice a difference in my play around the greens as soon as I switched. The Kirklands felt very soft (usually a good thing, as far as I'm concerned), so maybe I'll get them out in a month or so, when the weather gets warmer and the greens speed up. But for today, I wasn't impressed.
