You've been given two recommendations that are vastly different from each other. The Innovex has a pretty straight leading edge, the XB has a very round one. Neither suits me but that's a personal thing. There is a lot of weirdness in the component wedge scene IMO. GW has their very big, heavy ones. Ever Wishon I've owned had a weird grind. I don't know why there are not component equivalents of Vokey and Clevelands.
My advice would be that if you don't know, go with the medium/standard sole first choice, maybe wide sole second choice. For sure not thin sole based on what you said. I think with hinge and hold you'd want bounce to be on the high side.
