You'll still see her the same way. π
I'll never forget this as long as I live - when I was a youngster many many moons ago - I spent the night with my grandpa. And the neighbor had this three-legged dog. It was a smaller breed. The dog only had three legs, apparently lost a back leg earlier in his life because of an accident and the family didn't want to put him down.
That dog was an absolute warrior.... whether you were playing fetch with him, or playing tug-of-war with him with a stuffed toy.... that dog had no idea that he had a disability. And he was such a character! Part of the reason I always enjoyed visiting Gramps was because this dog always seemed to hobble over to his house while I was there and enjoyed playing with me.
Dogs are by nature fairly resilient. Whether it's a loss of a leg, or they've endured an abusive past portion of life, or in your case - the loss of an eye - they still want to live, play, and feel loved.
Maddie is in good hands. And she'll make the adjustment. π
