There was this recycled 2015 Callaway Great Big Birtha 13.5* sr shafted driver on fleabay calling my name. I just couldn't resist...
I pulled the Miyazaki 39 g r flex shaft from my Cleveland 270UL and bought a shaft adapter from VG. I sanded the tip to fit the .335 " adapter .
Waiting on the club to arrive to see proper alignment before epoxying the adapter . USPS has delayed the club's delivery , go figure.

Value Golf is great for me!
I'm hoping the higher lofts, adjustable will help me improve driving. If not, it'll be fun breaking in newer higher tech and comparing it to my old trusty G15. Also, my old playing partner reshafted his Tmag slider & is beating me by 5 yds. & I've got to get out past him!

2015 Bertha (or "Old Bertha", as I call her) is my safety net. I've tried a bunch of other drivers but always keep her around bc she never lets me down. I end up gaming Old Bertha for at least half of the season. I love that driver.

Tried a round with the "new" Great Big Birtha 13.5. I didn't see any distance gains over the G15 yet. I set it on neutral lie , 12.5*, and after a few range balls, moved the slide wt to full fade.
Most straight shots seems there. Didn't seem to feel any really good center hit solid shots but misses mostly were forgiven and medium distance in or near fairways were obtained. My last on 18 was better than my usual good drive with the Ping so there's a hint of improvement in distance and better forgiving of misses. I definitely get some kick from the Bassara light flex over the R flex Co have in the Ping. More to come when I get back to the course again
