Tinker Looking around the web at reasonably priced golf shoes and is it me or does everything look like sneakers or senior center walking shoes.
Rickochet Tinker I bought some of these at Dicks about three years ago. I liked these better than the Eccos and a few others I tried on at the store. They have held up well and are very comfortable. I think I paid $70. I found this link when I did a search for Walter Hagen golf shoes. https://www.golfgalaxy.com/p/walter-hagen-course-casual-golf-shoes-previous-season-style-15whgmwltrhgncgsh/15whgmwltrhgncgsh?camp
Tinker I like sketchers anyway. Don’t like sneaker style with long slacks. Not many saddle or moc toe styles in leather out there for a reasonable price.
JeffTilley Tinker Oh, you want some of these........... https://www.etsy.com/listing/202384953/brown-kilties-for-mens-golf-shoes-kiltie
sdandrea1 Skechers on sale thru lots of sources. I wore Skechers walking shoes for an 18 hole match today. Can't tell the diff between those and the golf shoes in dry conditions. (I won 3 & 2!)
mulegolf The Walter Hagen shoes are quite comfortable. I have 2 pair (black & brown). They seem to wear well also. Unfortunately, poster stated he didn't want sneakers and the Walter Hagen's are quite like sneakers.
Rickochet mulegolf Unfortunately, poster stated he didn't want sneakers and the Walter Hagen's are quite like sneakers. Sneakers look like tennis shoes. These look more like casual shoes or loafers. Not wing tips for sure. 😜
accufitgolf I like the old style golf shoes. I have never taken to the "sneaker" looking ones. I also believe two pairs of inexpensive golf shoes cleaned after use and with shoe trees will last 3 times as long as one expensive pair. I have several pairs of these: https://www.tgw.com/footjoy-mens-originals-golf-shoes?SITE_ID=A2004&CID=PLA&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwKvTBRC2ARIsAL0Dgk0B_CfVT5O3j_evZmyUblmg8CxdkkdMlGNvCCBcLjTkAGx14dvaPCIaAv0HEALw_wcB
Tinker Found some Allen Edmonds, jack Nicklaus closeouts for 79 bucks. All leather Goodyear welts. Don’t know how they fit but might take a shot
accufitgolf Tinker They will be heavy as heck. While I miss the old leather shoes I do not miss their weight and upkeep. It that sense, golf shoes have changed for the better.
Tinker Played today with my Arnold Palmer leather saddles. They where heavy as hell, plus it was wet and squishy . Think I’m going to check out Sketchers. Palmers are black saddles like new but very heavy feeling, my legs are tired.
