On a similar note, back in the mid 1950's when TV was very young and most people did not have one I was at my grandmother's house and I was watching TV with my great grandmother. Back then the TV console was huge and the TV screen was roundish and small. We sat there for a program, which one I do not remember and I asked my Grandmother how she liked the program. She turned and said to me with a straight face and seriously and said how do they get those little people in that box? Meaning of course the console. She could not understand how signals in the air could bring that picture to our living room. She has born in the 1870's when there was not much technology at all. It was funny at the time, but I think that sort of puts what we are talking about in perspective.
