Yeah, it's not worth it. Political discussions are just a big 'ol heap of stinky, nasty-smelling pig shit. The deeper you go into the heap - the nastier it smells.

Some people just can't help themselves, tho. Despite the fact that the owner of the site, that charges us absolutely nothing to participate, who pays out of his own pocket to keep the lights on here, has stated that he doesn't want this place to become like the old place we left behind.

I'm still trying to figure out why Justin's concept and wishes are so hard to understand and accept.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of political discussion boards available. We don't need the bullshit here.

PA-PLAYA It's hard to have meaningful discussion about major topics (politics, religion, etc) in an internet forum regardless. There's not a natuural rhythm to to the exchange of ideas and information. A talks at B, B talks back at A, but they're not really talking TO each other.

I believe in a system built upon individual responsibility and small government. I had an employee who believed a more socialist society was better. We had many intelligent discussions about this, but we never could have on an internet forum.

This ain't the place, for sure.

Part of the problem are that there no guidelines here. I was suspended for saying "bad words", but was never shown a list of "bad" words. I have since reported dozens, maybe hundreds, of posts with "bad" words, but have seem no action against any bother offenders.

Anything can be interpreted as political.

And if you think they do, then you either authored a post to get a controversial political shitstorm going, or you decided to read a political agenda into something that wasn’t intended to be perceived that way.

LBlack14 I'm getting the feeling that @jrock is a full-on liberal. If you can tolerate some stuff that he tolerates, but not school projects because they just happen to be on a topic that is hurtful to liberal loons, then there's only one safe assumption.

I started the thread in question because I thought it was funny as hell that certain cable news
stations acted like they heard a new word (s***hole) for the first time,and were blasting it everywhere.
It wasn't intended to be political,but it quickly morphed into such a discussion.
Anyway,the squeaky wheel got the grease...as usual! 🙂

Also, I'm pretty sure there were bad words in that one, but again, can't be positive because there's no list. BTW, you keep referring to "jrock's rules". Where are they? I'd love to read them, but haven't found them.
