ZWExton Shit happens. I am pleased to know they are doing what they can to satisfy the customer's desires. Can't always be perfect, but it says a lot that they're trying to resolve it.
New foundry is not an exciting prospect though. You'd think they'd have an original head and at least hold it up to see if it looked the same.
Last week I did more searching for the wedge heads while waiting for a reply from Diamond. I ran across a set of HM wedges on Ebay for the S and L. I sent the seller a question. He emailed me back and asked if I was a member from the old FGI. Turns out it was FGI Cutter66. I told him about my issues with my wedges. I asked him if he purchased these before the move to the UK and he told me he got these from Durango, CO before the move. I couldn't tell for sure from pics he posted but the toe stamping look more like the ones I got from the UK than the A wedge I have. So, it could well be that the foundry change was done before Diamond took over. Perhaps the foundry issues is what made TW decide to retire. Anywho, I don't know either way so I don't want to diss TW or Diamond. At least Diamond has admitted to an issue and is trying to resolve it. As long as they provide good customer service I don't see much to complain about at this point. With the decline of the component industry in the last 10 years I am willing to give every company the benefit of the doubt.
