The Ping G Sf Tec is in the bag right now along with the fairway woods. I have a G400 waiting in the wings, but the G is performing very well. I have the G30, G and G400 and have yet to swap shafts to experiment. Also have a UST Mamiya VTS shaft with the Ping adapter that works well, but Pings stock shafts work fine for me.
I've recently delved outside of Cobra and Ping with Cleveland Launcher CBX irons which are performing well also. The Ping G700 irons intrigue me though. To be honest I still have a set of Tour Edge cavity back irons from ~ 2005 that feels as good as anything out today. They're a full cavity with no extra stuff tech wise. They have a 431 face and a thin face for the time. They just lack the distance of todays irons.
