True temper amt shafts have variable weights from 107 to 121 grams, so do you go with variable swingweights or do you had shaft weights to make the swingweight the same through the set???
amt shaft
"AMT stands for Ascending Mass Technology, which means the steel shaft's weight increases in 3 gram increments from the 3-iron to PW, while the balance point is adjusted so that the swing weight is consistent to standard Dynamic Gold throughout the set."
Thanks...I noticed when I assembled them this afternoon the swingweight was consistent.
And don't be shy about posting a review of the shafts after a couple rounds.
What flex are you using?
S300 in a set of 716cb and a set of Mizuno MP-25's....both of the sets are bent to MP-30 settings for comparison. The 716cb's are a quarter inch longer and all swingweights set for D2. We will see what happens....
In the mean time, also received a set of the new SM6 wedges, 52 F grind, 56 M grind and 60, cant remember which grind wedges, standard length and lie. Put the 52 In my Mitchell iron bending machine, moved it from 64 to 63 and it popped, 3 cracks in the hosel....it felt brittle when I put the bending bar on it...that was a surprise...I would be curious why Titleist has decided to go to cast wedges....Oh well, no problem, they said they would send me another one...I will let you guys know how the competition turns out for the irons with the amt shafts.
TT DG AMT .355t would be the perfect shaft for a player that needs the DG shaft profile and wants to play an MoI heft match set. Progressive ascending weight shafts make MoI matching that much better ie. Nippon 999GH.
