I never understood why some people dislike cats. I like all animals but really like dogs and cats. You have to appreciate cats for what they are. They are cats. They are not expected to act like dogs. Some are as docile and cuddly like the one in the video. Some resort more to their wild nature.

Here is a pic of our neighbor's cat Martin. We let him in to visit. Here he is on my desk helping me review new FGI postings from a few years back. He is a pretty little boy with almost perfect tuxedo markings. He just turned 17.

Rickochet I used to be a hater, but I’ve run into a few that broke through with me over the years. Still probably will never own one, but if I had a farm or a lot of land for them to roam and hunt I’d have one or two.

Cats are awesome. We've had 2 orange tabby in our lives that were really docile lap sitters. They both would greet us when we got home, they would come to us when we called them, puuuurrrred all the time and had great hygiene. No weird stealth ninja attacks out of the blue or revenge behavior like I've heard of. Maybe we were lucky?

I love cats, too. They're awesome. My cat is loves to cuddle. If I sit down to watch a game, he sits on my lap and purrs, eventually falling asleep. He's incredibly soft and he's warm. What's not to like?

I'm allergic to cats, so no cats in our house. I am reminded of a cat that my employer had "way back when." He almost acted more like a dog than a cat. He could be three blocks away and if he heard you calling him he would come running. He also was a great hunter. There was a stand of Christmas trees growing on the property and he would come dragging rabbits that he had killed every so often. This included jack rabbits that were much larger than he was. His name was "Spottie" and he was a grey and white spotted cat.

All our fur babies are curled up sleeping this morning. All the Christmas hubbub is over and all tummies slightly distended from over-indulgence. Nice Christmas this year with only an issue with our boxer ,Maddie's eye. She injured it somehow last week , turned dark blood red. Then had reaction to the antibiotic that vet gave her. Of course during holidays no way to contact vet. She got better next day after I stopped the antibiotic which I believed was prescribed way too strong. We're off to vet this afternoon .There goes $300 again. I was glad to be able to do it though. She's a big bundle of sweetness and love

You have to take care of all of your family members. This is our 2 year old morkie Anni. No telling how much we have spent on this little urchin.

I see why you're so smitten with her. Her expression reminds me of a cockapoo we had, Bettsy Ross , a bicentennial puppy. Probably smartest doggie we've had. Manipulative female, too cute and knew it.

We haven't had a pet in many years. She was a "bucket list" present we got each other for our 30th Anniversary, hence the name Anni. She is as sweet as she is cute. Super smart and a maltese/yorkie mix that doesn't shed or smell. The breeder we got her from always said that she was "too stinkin' cute." We are biased but we think she was right. She isn't spoiled but here she is in her window bed I built so she can look outside.

She is pretty laid back. We don't get many fireworks in our hood. She has been through a couple of commercial firework shows about a mile from our boat at the lake and all she does is raise her head off of the bed with a "what the heck was that" look when the really loud mortars go off.
