Natpharm Two ball that I've had a singular experience with and never tried again were the e6 and Laddie. Both balls have evolved quite a bit from there introductions, but my first two tries with the e6 I hit nice, although not particularly long drives in the fairway. On the first one, I had 150 yards into the green and hit a beautiful 6 iron which flew right over the pin, hit the back of the green and trampolined off. The second time, I had 145 into the green, dropped down a couple of clubs to an 8 iron after my experience on the previous hole, and hit a beautiful shot that landed 2 feet left of the pin and then bounded and rolled about 15 yards more. For some reason, with my swing I could not stop that ball even though I hit beautiful looking high (with the longest carry I can ever remember) shots off the irons with it. The Laddie didn't give me the extended carry that the e6 did, but would not hold a green for me even though hit high. Not sure how the modern version of either would work for me as I didn't want to re-visit them after those initial experiences.

johnnydoom Ha, another one I played quite a bit was the Laddie. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I should probably give some other balls a try and who knows, might be surprised at what I find.

Maxfli Tour Edition (Greg Norman endorsed) was my fav along with the DT wound.
Titleist Professional was good too.
Before I educated myself on the wonders of a "spinny" ball that didn't warp I used Wilson Ultras.

Srixon Hi Spin was their first two piece spinny ball and you got a free Srixon Tour towel with every box
(I still have two of them)
Precept EV Spin were also good a two piece spinny ball.
I like Srixon Z Stars now but have played many 3 piece balls and they are all usually good enough for me.

I have been playing golf since 1962 and there is no way I could chronicle what balls I have played over 55 years. I have trouble remembering my name at times. The last twenty years I have played probably over 20 different balls from two to four piece with little spin and some with high level of spin. Some of my favorites have been ProV1, Callaway Chrome soft, Callaway super soft, Srixon Zstar, TM urethane mid price balls, Titleist NXTs, Bridgestone b330 rxs. The courses I play today I rarely need a high spin ball simply because with todays irons and hybrids I hit the ball high and it lands soft. Around the greens I usually putt or chip and run.

Iirc, my best rounds, be them 9 or 18, were always with a ProV1x. I was on the Topflite Magna kick, Topflite XL2000 kick and the Strata Tour Ace. I remember when ebay seller Proshopwarehouse was still in existence and had a store front I would go up there and buy all the Tour Aces they had. Only thing about that ball was the cover would shred.

I am starting to clean out my golf storage shelves and have years of balls on the shelf. I just cleaned my bag out and found six doz of assorted balls in my bag. I will get this sorted out after Christmas since everything is covered with boxes and wrapping paper. I going to count how many balls I have just for chits and giggles.

I starting playing as a caddy back in the 1970's and played what ever ball I found when I was caddying.

High school they would give us Titleist Balata so that was what I played. Followed the progression with the Professional and 384 Tour then Prov1.

I tried the Tour Edition, Maxfli Revolution and Top Flite z-balata but they felt like rocks. Tour Edition spun waay too much.

Saving the Pinnacle exceptions for him. They are behind the other balls. Crazy right!!!!

And on the floor is a backpack and a half of brand new loose prov1 balls that land in my parents back yard all season.

I don't lose balls, they wear out.

I know this. Fortunately, I'll never HAVE TO buy another golf ball as long as I live. Those TP's were some good balls.

Started playing in 66 or 67 and played the Acushnet Club Special for many years. Could get about one round to a ball, before you would cut it. But they were the best cheap ball at the time.
Played many balls over the years, but mostly Titleist, although I have never liked the Pro V.

I still have one of those, lying in a cactus planter on the patio. Played them a lot, because the Titleist (its big brother) was a buck apiece or more (!).

I went through a few years with Pinnacles after the wound balls disappeared. I remember a few of them breaking on impact, so you just found the biggest piece and played a new ball from there. I've played mostly Pro Vs for the last several years, because the feel is reminiscent of the old wound balls.

Egueller said a while back that it was between 100 and 120 in a medium flat rate box. I'm downstairs now putting, I'll see how many boxed dozens will work.
