American deer do not do those kind of things

American deer try to get at you by trying to run through your car. I had one run into the side of my car.
Side note: When I was a 911 operator I received a call from a guy that had a deer run into the side of his car. He asked, "Who is going to pay to fix my car?" I told him it would have to be his car insurance company as the deer didn't have any insurance.

I once hit a deer with my car and had to take it in to the insurance adjuster. As I stood at the counter getting the initial paperwork started, the nice young lady behind the counter went through the routine questions:
Her - What was the nature of the accident?
Me - I hit a deer
Her - Did you call the police?
Me - Yes, I have the report right here.
Her - Were either of you determined to be at fault?
Me - Um...you mean either me or the deer?
Her - Oh, sorry, I forgot...

Another funny aspect of the incident was the police report that said "the vehicle was eastbound when it struck a southbound deer" ! 😁
