20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Disney+.

Haven’t seen it in over 50 years. Nemo was a much cooler dude when I was a kid. Didn’t realize how whack he was. Good rewatch in that the story seems entirely different viewed now than through a child’s eyes.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers documentary on Netflix is very well done. Although I like them, I am not a fan that knows all things RHCP. This doc tells the story of how Anthony and Flea met when they were kids, how hat led to the origins of the band, and how they started to gain momentum and more and more popularity. So cool. I think the heartbreaking aspect of the piece was clear from the jump but weaved in throughout which makes it very interesting. I would recommend it for those who don't even know whonm they are or don't care for their music.

Jerry West the Logo. On Prime.

Great documentary on Jerry West. Growing up in the 60’s on Cape Cod when the Celtics were becoming a dynasty every NBA fan knew how great Jerry West was.

Because of the Celtics he only won 1 NBA championship as a player with the Lakers. Only player in NBA history to win the MVP in an NBA championship from a losing team.

And the NBA finally acknowledged he is the NBA’s logo. Anyway, I could go on an on about how good this documentary is. If you’re nostalgic for the greats of the NBA’s past you’ll love this documentary.

What he didn’t accomplish as a player he exceeded many times over as a GM. A story well told.

Margot's Got Money Problems on Apple TV is quite good. Currently through four episodes of the limited series. Michele Pfieffier has aged quite well, and the storyline is both interesting and funny.

professor We started watching Widow’s something or other on Apple TV . Couple episodes in and I like it. Reminds me of a series a while back called Haven.

Journey to the 7th Planet (1962) - Prime Video

Pretty cheesy (in a good way though) 60’s sci fi that, comically now, takes place in 2001. Sixties tech goes on what is still now a futuristic journey to Uranus. The plot is not a great story, but was quite ingeniously written to minimize budget to pretty good result - one of which was to allow use of Swedish actresses. It was a fun diversion for a sick day.

On a similar note, I remember as a kid a movie titled "Frankenstein 1970" and thinking how futuristic. My how time flies.

An Italian version of House of Wax. Much spicier and a bit wierd, but a very similar theme.
