Just finished Longmire, looking for another series to watch. Have watched Dexter, Lost (twice), Breaking Bad, and a couple others..........

sdandrea1 You have to admit that they did fuck him though. He was a part owner (equal share). And then Frey and Henley wanted to renegotiate with everyone. I think he got paid in the end. He is able to play the band's songs live. I started losing track of the lawsuits going back and forth.
I expect a similar thing to happen with Journey. That fiasco has imploded. Neal is a pompous nut.

sdandrea1 💯. Watch a couple of their recent concerts. Read a few of their concert reviews. People like the old Journey songs, but don't care for the near endless guitar god stuff between songs. He is incredible, but people don't go to listen to that stuff.

Watching an interesting documentary on the Earp brothers and their war with Ike Clanton's Cowboys in Tombstone. Cool facts about it's affect on the silver industry and JP Morgan's bid/financing to buy up the railroads.

Godzilla Minus One. Highly dramatic, but a very good and compelling movie. Japanese language with subtitles.

Watched the first 4 episodes (of 6) of The Perfect Couple on Netflix. Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber star in it. Based on the book by Elin Hilderbrand who lives on Nantucket.

Anyway, it's a murder mystery (possibly, won’t know till I watch all the episodes). It was filmed on Nantucket (arial shots), Chatham and Harwich (I'm from Harwich) on Cape Cod MA.. Some great scenes of that area are very familiar to us.

One scene is right across from my father in laws former business (Chatham TV) he ran for years. The back of the main house is actually Chatham Bars Inn which is a famous location. Scenes of Pleasant Bay etc. are great.

The series itself is ok, but the scenes of that part of the Cape are fantastic.

Edit: The actress who plays the bride to be is U2’s Bono’s daughter.

Already know what happened without watching it. It started in the 1980’s when the right took over talk radio. Then with the advent of Fox News in the early 90’s the culture wars went into overdrive.

The conservative media network seeded anti-democratic values by changing the issues to 'morality and family values’ diverting the focus from economic equality.

And so here we are some 30 - 40 years later. No need to watch a documentary on this. Saw it happen in real time.

Glad you liked it. Again, saw it happen in real time regarding conservative media. Knew people who got sucked in and brainwashed. It started in talk radio with Rush Limbaugh etc., then Fox News and here we are today.

Anyway, if anyone likes true crime I watched Into The Fire: The Lost Daughter.

Another great documentary by Netflix. Very captivating. It’s about a young woman who gave up her baby for adoption and her search for her years later which resulted in finding out she went missing years earlier.

Just finished The Perfect Couple. Nice whodunnit, but it reminds me of the Yellowstone series. Almost every character is a despicable, lying asshole. The cops were my favorite characters...... hilarious.

It’s been very popular and there’s talk of maybe a second season. We thought it was ok after 4 episodes and bumped it up to good after finishing. 👍 Again we liked seeing a lot of Harwich (Cape Cod) where we’re from.

My wife reads a lot of Elin Hilderbrands books. She’s reading The Hotel Nantucket now. Her best seller.

Oh yeah, he was a riot. I liked the detective. She was so funny. We hung in to find out whodunnit.

My sister (who lives in Harwich) told me last year when they were filming in Harwich. It’s cool seeing places where you grew up etc. in a movie.
