ode Cigar City brewery is really a great place. The tour is interesting and best part is every time you turn around, they are giving out samples of their various beers. Had a great time, went with some friends and my wife, who doesn't drink,, so I got hers also.

SVonhof local ale.house has a great guest beer tap list and they had Langunitas High Westified Imperial Coffee Stout, aged in whisky barrels....so good!

I live in the midst of so many good breweries it's hard to pick a favorite beer. A small local place called Hop Haus makes a scotch ale called Plaid Panther that I think is fantastic.

I'm not a whiskey connoisseur by any means, but something I've enjoyed sipping recently is Wild Turkey American Honey. Yes, I know it's not really whiskey...

So here's what the wife and I do now. We'll go to a party and bring a pint of Soco in my back pocket. We get a couple cups of ice and pour our own drinks.

This time of year an Egg Nog and Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum with a little nutmeg on top is nice.

I prefer a good IPA, everything from 4% Sessions to 13% Triples, but also like Stout and Sour beers. Altamont's Hella Hoppy and Drakes Denoginizer are solid. Cleophus Quealy in San Leandro is a good place for Sours.

Thanks for the info on the sours. A coworker of mine really likes 'em. Me, I can handle it for a short time, but could not do a pint of one.

Might be going to Drakes Dealership tomorrow night for my first time. We will see how things go tomorrow.

pellmell Cleophus Quealy in San Leandro is a good place for Sours

Just looked it up, it is right around the corner from Metropolitan Golf Links. May have to try it out after our tournament there on my birthday (July).

So we're in Newport this summer and she's shopping in these boutique stores with her friend...more like " double". Her husband and I are outside on a bench and he's got nips in every pocket. He says "nipper?"...I said absolutely. Just palm it and shoot it. Makes just sitting around people watching a whole lot better.

Too many craft brewed IPAs to mention. I'm a hop head. Highland Single Malts - neat - the older the better, just like women. And a few blended's but, those i like on the rocks. Favorite blended in Monkey Shoulders.
