Spuzz I haven't used these specifically, but if they play like the original branded FST 90's, they will play soft and have high ball flight.

I looked at these and was wondering what the difference was between these and the FST 90's I see at other places at twice the price.

I asked DTG once and they said that they they contracted FST to make those 90s specifically for DTG

They're a great shaft for the price -- higher launch if you use DTG's trim instructions, can't go wrong if you like the lighter weight.

There other dtg branded shafts made by fst are the exact same shaft as fst shaft with the same specs.....too lazy to link or look up the names.but they have the fst 115 and fst 115 pro under a DTG name, you get the dtg shaft band with it, but the sticker on the butt end is the same as the fst counterpart. Not sure if this is the case with 90.

One of the main differences I noticed was the stiffness. DTG brands there shaft as a R/S on the 115's. For the FST branded shafts they are A/R and S/X. I do believe the DTG shafts are the FST S/X. I use the FST trim instructions when I tip trim and disregard the DTG instructions.

In this case, DTG chart is 1/2 inch more in R flex but this OEM shaft is R/S and the FST is A/R branded.

I think FST has two flexes in the 115,A/R and S/X. DTG only shows one flex at R/S. Confusing, no?

Rickochet Yes, but in reality the 115 Pro is the same as the dtg pro x stepless, they offer both combo flexes, in a/r and s/x, so it is straight fwd.

The dtg launch lite is offered in r/s combo and is the same as the fst 115 s/x.....so I can see some confusion there but the specs are identical and they are the same shaft...the fst sticker on the butt end of the "dtg" launch lite is a dead give away.

As per the OEM 90, Maltby/FST says low bend point and soft tip (assume high ball flight) with PTS of 10", trim for R flex wedge is 4".
A/R combo only.
DTG says mid bend point (no tip stiffness mentioned) with PTS of 11" and trim for R flex wedge is 4.5"
R/S combo only.
Weight and raw length are the same.
So, same shaft?
Extra tip trim due to extra PTS?

So, did DTG make a labeling mistake or are they trying to say those shafts play softer than FST labels them? I have been told that the FST 115 stepless plays softer than the 115 stepped. I have some new FST 115 shafts that have a label of "FST 115 A/R.

Rickochet the dtg launch lite r/s has 13 pts, as does the fst 115 a/r, so I stand corrected on that....and who knows re dtg, you likely won't get a straight answer!

I am thinking these are two different shafts.
VG/Maltby FST 90 is a regular production shaft.
DTG OEM FST 90 maybe an overrun for an OEM order.
Any thoughts?

FST 90=100g, 10"PTS offered by value golf and Golfworks and others

OEM FST 90=100g, 11" PTS
DTG Ultalite=100g, 9" PTS both offered by DTG

Someone needs to get one of each and get the digital calipers out.
