Dear Golfbuzzers,

I need some advice. I am 35 years old and play to a +3 handicap. I use a 7 degrees driver, no fairway woods or hybrids and muscle back blade irons (1 iron thru LW) with Tour STIFF shafts. My driver swing speed is 135 on normal days and I average about 290 carry off the tee. My wedge game is sharp and I average about 1.4 putts/green. I am wondering if I should buy stock in Google?

Only tour stiff? There’s your problem. Google stock is way too generic, get something JDM.

Sounds like your game is nicely rounding into form. I'm curious about your one iron, is it a Japanese custom forging? Just curious since I don't want to put any more wear on the one my pro gave me to try (says he got it from some old friend that used to be on tour).

Yes, all my irons were custom made by Hattori Hanzo. I got his name when I was dating Uma Thurman.

Oh, and Geolf, I'm very envious you scored some Honzo forgings. You think he could design some shafts for me - I keep snapping mine off in the downswing. I tried checking my transition in the mirror, but I still can't identify the cause.

Might want to take some lessons as your smash factor is too low. You should be carrying it at
least 335 yds. Oh, it might be that cheap azz, Handcarved driver shaft that is the issue. And....
I know I'm right.

You should use a 5 degree driver. That should get your average well above 300 yards.

Factory rep? You'll get much better advice from the experts here! Let the rep hook you up with the equipment their pros are really using, but they don't know beans about a proper fit. BTW - what craft barrel single malt is appropriate to give my club fitter for Christmas?
