When you wake up to 2 inches of snow you know that the day will suck for golf. Now I have to cancel golf and paint the family room...that was the deal with SWMBO!!!

I'm still too weak , recovering from 3 weeks long battle with this nasty flu.
Several days of 70° F in a roll probably packed the golf courses around here. I had made a tee time this Past Thursday but gave it away to a friend, knowing that I could not fully enjoy playing golf that day.

Tried to build up my strength by getting some of the work done around the house. Wife been carrying the weight besides working full time ( 50 hour week , since they were short at the work ).
Taking advantage of the beautiful Saturday, I worked around the house first, laundry all the bed sheets and pillow cases while kids went to work ( my kids are visiting home over the weekend and one caught allergic reaction to the pollen ) We lived in the woods and the thick green/yellowish layer of pollen on the cars parked outside told a story . Which reminds me to power wash the windows driveway, side walk and walkways tomorrow, maybe even some of the tree trunks with moss built up from the warm weather.
Since I was at it, I flipped the top mattress for all the beds as we had not turned it for over 6 months.
Edged all the driveways and the island stripes and mowed the yards. put down " Moss Out" the only thing works in getting rid of the moss built up over the warm moist Winter. Had to take a break in between to hydrate, sweat felt good but also brought back a little coughing. Since I worked out door, took a "Zyrtec" to avoid triggering the reminiscence of flu .
I was pretty bushed afterward, realizing there was no way I could walk the 18 and play quality golf in this condition.

Promptly booked another tee time for next week which forecasting the warmest day for the year in the high 70's.
Hopefully I get to golf next week. If not, that'll be okay because we'll have one of the hottest and driest Summer this year. Lots of time for golf.

I manage a group of 10-12 guys each weekend at my club. Played yesterday, got lucky that the morning showers had moved through Northeast PA just prior to us teeing off around 10:00. So we finished, we're at the 19th hole. And I just casually mention, "fellas - you're on your own tomorrow. Not interested in playing in 40º temps with winds howling at 30+ mph."

So I was laughed at, called a pu$$y, etc.

I checked the tee sheet this morning online shortly after taking the dogs out. Not a damned one of 'em showed up to play. LOL...

14 days later

Mid 70'ish for today and forecasting tomorrow as the first day this year to go over the 80° F . A friend of mine booked tee time at a nice golf course and I'm invited.

A few days in the low to mid 80's next week then, back to normal in the low 70'ish for the remaining week.
This Summer will be HOT in our region according to the weather channel, Hot around her means more days in the high 80 to 90's .

Luckily we have good snow pack in the mountain from last Winter, so no worry for water shortage, I hope.

When we're done with the 18 today, it was 82° F . Felt like sometime in a typical August day here.
Wish my game was a little like the weather, but unfortunately an 86 is all that I could muster.

Good that you got out! I just can't get excited about playing.

    Typhoon

Oh , I still want to get out on the golf course, just not able to as much as I wanted.
Sorry to hear that you're not getting exited of getting on the golf course. I had gone through similar situation quite a few times.

Eventually, you will find it again.

I am thinking about going over the trees, I just don't have the game to thread the needle.

    Reality check,
Back to typical Spring days in the Pacific Northwest, high 50's to low 60's , periods of rain and shower with sun break.
    Summer is over.

We had better weather in February.
