We just order something we want and then she wraps mine, I wrap hers plus a few stocking stuffers. By the time Christmas rolls around I forget what I had her wrap for me anyway!
Christmas is coming
Also on the topic of Christmas coming...those friggin Hallmark Christmas movies!!!!! Someone please make it stop!!! That's ALL my wife watches from day one until the end of them. And...she DVR's them ( which I delete ). Every room I walk into no matter what time of day or night...she's got one on. Then she leaves the room and I'm sitting there with it on. If I change the channel she yells from the other room. I yell back , "I'll tell u how it f#%#ing ends...they all end the same way". Same actors and actresses in every movie. There was even one with Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson in it...
Easy. We both golf, so we give each other a trip South during the Winter season. Works great.
Typhoon I. feel. your. pain.
They all have the same ridiculous cheesy music going on in the background throughout the entire movie, too. I can tell she's watching a Hallmark movie just by hearing the stupid music. For crying out loud, get rid of the background violins for a few seconds once in a while!
rsvman That's funny. Girls love those tear jerker touchie feelie movies . My lady is into the ID TV channel how sum ever. Hope she's not planning the perfect murder. She has one in her sewing/bedroom that stays on until sleep setting energizes. They're kinda too much reality for me.
Don't Forget BILL KROEN'S 2018 GOLF TIP A DAY CALENDAR
Reminds me of one of my favorite Henny Youngman one-liners......
"I like to give my wife practical gifts.....last year I had her electric blanket rewired!"
We never buy each other gifts. It seems silly, it's all coming out of the same income. We buy what we want throughout the year. We tend to save our money for doing things, rather than having things.

We're like that too. For our 50th anniversary we remodeled our kitchen . We still try to find a couple of less expensive happys to open Christmas morning with our daughter who still stays with us. Bless her heart.
